HALLUSION
A first-person psychological horror game that runs entirely in the browser — no download, no engine, no install. Seven looping nights inside a 1970s house where a little girl's voice calls you 'daddy' and the one rule is that her voice always lies. Built in under a week with no external game engine — no Unity, no Unreal — using only Three.js, WebGL and JavaScript.

HALLUSION is a first-person psychological horror experience that runs entirely inside the browser — no game engine, no plugin, no download. The player is Yusuf, an old man reliving the same 1970s family house across seven nights, answering a phone that rings every morning while the house quietly rewrites its own truth around him.
Where most 3D horror ships on Unity or Unreal as a heavy desktop build, HALLUSION was written from scratch on a custom Three.js / WebGL engine — the level generator, the lighting and fog, the interaction and sanity systems, the door illusions, and a full apparition and chase system, all in plain JavaScript with no build step — no Unity, no Unreal, only Three.js, WebGL and JavaScript. It streams instantly in any browser.
Seven distinct nights, each with its own puzzle and its own scare — hide-and-seek voices, riddles hidden in the furniture, doors that no longer go where they went the night before, and a basement finale that re-tells everything the house told you. A fully-voiced narrative, a cinematic intro and ending, camera shake, a face-slam death, and a look-back chase carry the dread without a single strobe or flash.
A two-person team built it in under a week using a deliberate AI-assisted pipeline: the engine and gameplay directed with Claude, all textures, key art, 3D props and cinematics generated with Higgsfield, the voice cast synthesized with ElevenLabs, and character motion retargeted from Mixamo — every mechanic, puzzle and scare designed and tuned in-house. Submitted to the KNGD Game Jam 2026 under the theme "Illusion."
